Hot rods, customs, classics, trucks
and motorcycles race on the 1/8th mile strip.
Heads-up (Saturday), eliminators (Sunday).
All pre-’66 vehicles welcome.

 

Racing at Atomic is informal and owners of all eligible cars, trucks and bikes
are welcome to join in, experience the thrill, and add to the spectacle.

Race Licenses will be free of charge and owners will receive a
FREE AND EXCLUSIVE ‘ATOMIC RACING’ T-SHIRT…
It‘s the T-Shirt that money can’t buy!

Trophies will be awarded to Class Winners
and one lucky racer will be chosen at random to receive
a pair of sought-after tickets to the GOW Speed Hill Climb
at Prescott, courtesy of the VHRA.

Please register when purchasing festival tickets.
The Vintage Hot Rod Association (VHRA) will contact you
to confirm eligibility and provide further information.

 
 

 
 


RACE CLASSES

PRE-1949 AMERICAN HOT RODS
No disc brakes or radial tyres on pre-1935 cars.
On later, full-fendered cars they may be allowed if not obviously visible
Cars may be built from replica parts but must be traditional in style.

MODIFIED AMERICAN CARS AND COMMERCIALS 1949-1966
Modifications allowed but the vehicle’s appearance must be in period.
No pro-street, billet wheels, etc.

STOCK AMERICAN CARS & COMMERCIALS, PRE-1954
Radial tyres allowed. No other modifications.
Modified cars will race in hot rod class.

STOCK AMERICAN CARS AND COMMERCIALS, 1955-1966
Radial tyres allowed. No other modifications.
Modified cars will race in hot rod class.

BRITISH AND EUROPEAN CARS UP TO 1966
No US engines unless factory fitted (eg Allard).
Period specials allowed.

OUTLAWS – UP TO 1966
For cars & commercials that don’t fit in the above classes.
Vehicles must have an in-period appearance.
Disc brakes and radial tyres allowed.
Billet and modern oversized wheels are not permitted.

BIKES – AMERICAN, BRITISH AND EUROPEAN UP TO 1966

Must be in period. Disc brakes not permitted.

 
 

 
 

Scrutineering will take place on the day and all participants must sign a disclaimer before taking part.
The VHRA’s decision regarding eligibility is final.
